With funding from the UNHCR, HUMAN ACCESS in Lahj Governorate implemented a training program for 60 teachers, specialists, and protection volunteers in Kharaz camp, as part of a project to provide basic and secondary education for refugees.

The training program consists of two phases. The first phase included training 40 teachers on active learning and lesson planning strategies and skills, in an effort to enhance teachers’ abilities to apply active learning strategies and improve lesson planning skills to raise the quality of education.

In addition, the second phase of the program included training 20 specialists, administrators, and protection volunteers on psychological first aid and awareness session preparation skills, in order to enable participants to provide an effective initial psychological response and facilitate awareness sessions to support male and female students in schools.
