As part of ongoing efforts to improve the health system and enhance the quality of services provided to mothers and newborns in Yemen, HUMAN ACCESS branch in Taiz Governorate concluded a training program on "Therapeutic Management of Hypertension and Preeclampsia During Pregnancy." This training was part of the Reproductive Health Services Support Project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

The three-day training program targeted 17 midwives and other health and medical staff working at Al-Mudhaffar General Hospital in Al-Mudhaffar District. Participants received a comprehensive package of modern scientific knowledge and intensive practical training on improved mechanisms for the rapid and safe management of preeclampsia and the effective therapeutic management of hypertension in pregnant women to prevent complications.

This specialized training aims to enhance the preparedness of healthcare professionals to save the lives of mothers and newborns during critical times. Hypertension and preeclampsia are among the leading causes of maternal mortality globally. The trainees expressed their deep gratitude to HUMAN ACCESS and the UNFPA for organizing this training course, which significantly broadened their scientific knowledge and developed their practical skills.
