Taiz Health Office reviews engineering design for construction of 2nd floor of Al-Misrakh Hospital
To ensure that many people in need have access to opportunities to maintain their reproductive health, and with funding from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS in Taiz Governorate agreed with the Public Health and Population office in the governorate to build the second floor of Al-Misrakh hub hospital in Al-Misrakh district, as part of the project to support reproductive health services.
In preparation for beginning work on the project, a visit made to the hospital by director general of the Public Health and Population office in Taiz, Dr. Abdulrahman Ahmed Saleh, and director general of Al-Misrakh district, Yahya Ismail, who both supervised the engineering design for building the second floor. This took place in the presence of a number of local officials, including the director general of the hospital, Dr. Abdulwadood Al-Amiri.
The Public Health officer Dr. Abdulrahman appreciated the efforts made by HUMAN ACCESS and UNFPA in supporting reproductive health services to serve citizens.
For his part, the director of Al-Misrakh district Yahya stated that the project to support reproductive health services is one of the most important projects in the health sector in the district, as it supports the most vulnerable groups, including the displaced and others.
It is worth to mention that Al-Misrakh Hospital provides a range of reproductive health services 24 hours a day, benefiting thousands of people in the remote district. Humanitarian response efforts would be enhanced through the expansion of the building, enabling reproductive healthcare to be provided to the maximum number of people of concern.
Access to high-quality reproductive health services plays a pivotal role in human safety. This includes access to antenatal and postnatal care, access to contraception and family planning, fistula prevention and treatment, and others that HUMAN ACCESS has been improving to build a healthier future.
