To provide essential health services to the most vulnerable communities in remote areas and save the lives of many people, and with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS in Taiz Governorate delivered medical devices and equipment to Al-Misrakh Hub Hospital in Al-Misrakh district as part of the Reproductive Health Services Support Project.
The handover process took place in the presence of the director-general of the Public Health & Population Office in Taiz, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sabri, the director-general of Al-Misrakh district, Yahya Ismail, and the general director of Al-Misrakh Hub Hospital, Dr. Abdulwadoud Al-Amiri.
A brief speech by Dr. Al-Sabri at the handover ceremony praised HUMAN ACCESS and UNFPA's support of Taiz's health sector, emphasizing the importance of maximizing this valuable assistance.
According to Dr. Al-Amiri, these medical devices and equipment are crucial to the hospital's needs and will bring about a quantum leap in its health services.
A severe impact has been caused on the health system in Yemen as a result of nine years of conflict.
It is noteworthy that the reproductive health services support project supports a number of health facilities in several governorates, as an important part of the humanitarian response efforts.
It also helps maintain health system performance and restore and improve access to reproductive health care services.
