The Public Health and Population Office in Al-Mahra Governorate honored the HUMAN ACCESS Association in recognition of its ongoing efforts to support the health sector in the governorate. Most recently, the association completed the renovation and equipping of the obstetrics emergency department at Al-Ghaydah Central Hospital, as part of the Reproductive Health Services Support Project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
At the award ceremony, Dr. Awad Mubarak, Director General of the Public Health Office in Al-Mahra, praised the vital and pioneering role played by HUMAN ACCESS, with the support of UNFPA, in strengthening the health sector and providing life-saving medical services.
Dr. Awad emphasized that the renovation and equipping of the obstetrics emergency department at Al-Ghaydah Hospital, along with the provision of necessary medical and operational supplies, represents a cornerstone in promoting maternal and newborn health.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Othman Bahashwan, Head of the Yemeni Medical Council in Al-Mahra; Mr. Mohsen Balhaf, Director General of Al-Ghaydah Central Hospital; Mr. Ahmed Saleh Al-Hamed, Director of the Quality and Infection Control Department in the governorate; Ms. Raeda Balhaf, Director of Reproductive Health in the governorate; Mr. Ahmed Salem, Deputy Director General of Al-Ghaydah Hospital; and a number of doctors and healthcare professionals.
