HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Al-Wadi began a practical application for the 12 trainees of the training program in livestock breeding, animal health and nutrition days after completing theoretical training.
This is an important scientific approach that helps trainees bridge the gap between theory and application in real life and enhances the program's effectiveness.
The applied side includes the method of stabilizing and examining the animal, detecting signs of health and disease, ensuring that it is free from diseases, the best way to measure the animal's temperature, how to hit needles, how to use medicines, as well as estimating the age of an animal using teeth, splinting fractures, and others.
The livestock breeding program is part of the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls" funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in preparation for the economic empowerment of beneficiaries.
After acquiring theoretical and practical skills in animal husbandry, care, and health, sanitary kits and supplies will be distributed to them along with a number of sheep for their development and income improvement.
