HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwah and Marib governorates performed a series of important activities as part of the project "Providing Livelihood Services for the Most Vulnerable Women and Girls in Yemen," funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), to build a future where women's empowerment is a reality.

In Shabwah, an awareness-raising session titled "Gender and Its Impact" was held in the city of Ataq, attended by 25 female students from the Health Institute.

The session focused on promoting gender concepts, their connection to justice and human rights, and the need to respect, protect, and support the rights and empowerment of women and girls.

In Marib, a life, financial, and marketing skills program was concluded in Al-Rawdah area and Al-Mil camps for 18 women beneficiaries of vocational training in sewing and confectionery/ pastries.

The training equipped them with basic life, marketing, and financial skills, preparing them to enter the labor market and start their own businesses.

In Wadi Marib, a training program in hairdressing and beauty was launched for nine women beneficiaries.

Furthermore, 200 dignity kits were distributed to the most vulnerable women, and awareness-raising and psychological support activities were conducted on a number of issues, including the dangers of early marriage, the need to obtain identity cards, and psychological disorders.
