HUMAN ACCESS Association, in partnership with the Deem Organization for Development, has begun interviewing women candidates for vocational training at Al-Mil Camp in Marib Governorate.
This initiative is part of an integrated project—funded by Norwegian People's Aid (NPA)—focused on food security, economic empowerment, and protection for those affected by the events in Hadramout (2026).
The initial phase involved assessing and interviewing 40 women to verify their details, identify their training needs and interests, and determine their eligibility for the training and economic empowerment programs.
Preliminary findings indicate that the applicants are interested in fields such as sewing and tailoring, weaving traditional ma'awez, and pastry and confectionery making. The results of these interviews, combined with a local market analysis, will be used to select the most suitable trades that offer genuine income-generation opportunities.
The project aims to provide vocational training to the women beneficiaries, enabling them to enter the labor market, launch their own businesses, and transform into productive households capable of overcoming the challenges and deteriorating living conditions in Yemen.
