The safe space for women and girls in Al-Wadi district of Marib Governorate delivered economic empowerment grants to 12 female trainees in the field of livestock raising, animal health and nutrition within the Protection and Livelihood Support Project, being implemented by HUMAN ACCESS, with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
Eligible beneficiaries received grants for sheep of good local breeds, capable of reproducing, and resistant to disease and climatic conditions in the region.
As a key objective, the project intends to improve the household income of beneficiary families, transform them into productive families, and upgrade their ability to raise livestock, which constitutes the basis of rural Yemeni families' economy.
