The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief (KSrelief) Center launched a project to drill three artesian wells in Taiz Governorate. This project is part of a larger initiative to enhance access to safe and clean water for the city's residents, implemented by the HUMAN ACCESS branch and funded by the Center.
The project aims to drill three wells to an average depth of 400 meters each, equip them with submersible pumps and related technical accessories, and provide them with integrated solar power systems to ensure continuous operation and reduce reliance on petroleum products.
The project also includes supplying, installing, and operating solar power systems for three existing wells to enhance their efficiency. Furthermore, it involves training technical staff at the local water authority in Taiz on the management, operation, and maintenance of water systems to ensure service sustainability.
Finally, the project includes conducting awareness campaigns for the local community on the rational use of water and protecting water sources from pollution.
This comes as part of a series of humanitarian and development projects and programs implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to strengthen the water and environmental sanitation sector and provide safe drinking water in needy areas of Taiz Governorate.
