HUMAN ACCESS in Taiz Governorate organized a training course in the field of obstetric emergency, targeting 9 midwives in the emergency obstetrics department at Al-Misrakh Central Hospital in Al-Misrakh district.
This initiative came through the Reproductive Health Services Support Project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).
Among the topics covered during the training was learning how to use and operate the ultrasound device.
A main objective of the training was to improve the work performance of midwives and nurses when dealing with pregnant women and deliveries, as well as enhance the skills of health care workers to ensure that women have the best chance of health and survival.
In addition to improving reproductive health services in the country, the training aimed to reduce the number of deaths among mothers and newborns during or after childbirth.
