In partnership with YHF, Rehabilitation Project of Al-Houtah Water Supply System in Al-Shahrah District
Within the project of “Integrated minimum WASH, health, and protection services for the most vulnerable IDPs in Hadramout and Shabwa governorates, HUMAN ACCESS, in partnership with Yemeni Humanitarian Fund (YHF), has implemented the rehabilitation project for Al-Houtah Water Supply System in Al-Shaher district, Hadhramaut Governorate.
The project included the supply and installation of polyethylene pipes, plastic pipes, water flow control valves along with establishing special control rooms for valves. It is estimated that the project will benefit more than 53,000 people in the target area with clean potable water.
The area residents expressed their thanks and appreciation to HUMAN ACCESS and YHF upon the project completion for meeting their repeated calls to rehabilitate the water system that will contribute to the provision of safe and sustainable water, especially after it was unfunctional for such a long time.
