On the occasion of International Volunteer Day, which is celebrated on December 5 of each year, HUMAN ACCESS in Marib governorate honored a number of volunteers with symbolic gifts, as part of the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The honoring included members and volunteers in community committees, female volunteers at the safe space in Al-Jufaina camp, and a group of volunteers at Al-Matar safe space, in addition to honoring a group of volunteers at Al-Mujamma safe space and local authorities in displacement camps, in order to boost the spirit of volunteering.
Volunteer work was highlighted during the honoring events as a significant and renewable resource that can be used to solve economic, social, and environmental problems worldwide. Volunteering also helps build strong local communities capable of facing challenges and provides an opportunity to work together across generations to achieve sustainable development goals.
