A delegation from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), headed by the deputy country director of the UNFPA office in Yemen - team leader, Jean-Paul Umurungi, director of the UNFPA office in Aden, Manar, reproductive health coordinator, and Ghamdan, GBV coordinator, visited the HUMAN ACCESS office in Marib Governorate.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on a number of projects funded by UNFPA and implemented by HUMAN ACCESS in the governorate. The delegation also discussed with the branch officers aspects of joint cooperation and ways to enhance it.
Meanwhile, the delegation made inspection visits to literacy classes in As-Suwayda camp, where they were briefed on the activities of the safe space provided to women enrolled in literacy classes. During the meeting, they discussed the educational status of literacy classes for women and girls in As-Suwayda camp as well as the difficulties and challenges encountered in light of the increasing waves of displacement.
The delegation expressed its appreciation and admiration for the services provided to female students in literacy classes. Mr. Mohammad Al-Ma'zab, director of the HUMAN ACCESS relief department, and Saleh Qasim, the executive director of the ACCESS branch in Marib governorate accompanied the delegation during the visit.
