HUMAN ACCESS in Hodeidah Governorate concluded a two-day training program on "Preeclampsia and Postpartum Hemorrhage," targeting six midwives in Al Khawkhah District. This training was part of the Reproductive Health Services Support Project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), aimed at improving the health and lives of women and children in Yemen.
The training program, which was inaugurated by Dr. Abdullah Zuhair, Director of the Public Health Office branch in Al Khawkhah District, designed to equip the trainees with scientific knowledge and practical training on improved mechanisms for the rapid and safe management of obstetric emergencies. The course's importance stems from the fact that preeclampsia and postpartum hemorrhage are among the leading causes of maternal mortality worldwide.
At the conclusion of the training course, the trainees expressed their deep gratitude to HUMAN ACCESS and the UNFPA. They emphasized the importance of this specialized training in developing their medical skills and keeping them up-to-date with modern standards in reproductive health. They also requested the continuation and implementation of more such refresher programs to ensure the sustainability of quality medical services provided to the community during critical times.
