The Head of HUMAN ACCESS, Yahya Al-Dabaa, visited a number of completed and ongoing projects in Taiz Governorate, funded by a number of humanitarian action partners, in order to identify the work carried out by the branch, which is striving to assist vulnerable groups and those at risk, as well as identify the needs of those groups.

This came during a visit that Al-Dabaa made to the HUMAN ACCESS Branch in Taiz, during which he met with the new administrative body of the branch and its employees.

He also reviewed the activities of the Woman and Child Development Sector, which plays a pivotal role in supporting and protecting the rights of children and women.

Al-Dabaa welcomed the selection of a new leadership for the Taiz branch, wishing its members success in promoting charitable and humanitarian work in the governorate.

He also praised the efforts of the women staff at the woman and child development sector and their wonderful work to serve women and childhood issues in these turbulent times.

As part of his visit to Taiz, the Head of HUMAN ACCESS and a number of leaders of the governorate branch inspected the Owais Al-Qarni complex, which was constructed by HUMAN ACCESS with funding from the Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH) to support the Yemeni education sector and ensure that children do not miss out their educational opportunities because of the ongoing conflict.

The visit, in addition, included the Kuwait Center for Prosthetics, in which work was inaugurated in early December 2022 with funding from the Global Charity Association for Development (Tanmeia Foundation) in the State of Kuwait, in addition to Al-Wafaa Medical Center, which is part of the health interventions for HUMAN ACCESS within the nutrition and maternal and child health project, funded by the Turkish Doctors Worldwide organization.

Furthermore, the visit included Al-Misrakh Rural Hospital, which is covered by the Reproductive Health Services Support Project and implemented by HUMAN ACCESS with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Construction is currently underway on the second floor of the hospital, which will expand medical care and upgrade it from a rural to a reference facility.

During the visit, Al-Dabaa listened to the managements of these projects about the nature of the workflow and the qualitative transformation brought about by these humanitarian interventions for these projects. He praised the important progress made, emphasizing the need to move forward in order to improve access to basic services and save the lives of millions of people with the support of donors and partners.
