2180 conflict-affected families in Taiz governorate benefit from emergency relief project
HUMAN ACCESS, in partnership with the Japanese ICAN organization, carried out a relief campaign for the affected families in the districts of Al-Ta'iziyah and Sabr Al-Mawadim in Taiz Governorate. The aid provided by the campaign included foodstuffs consisting of flour, rice, sugar, oil and legumes.
Saeed Al-Ameri, the executive director of HUMAN ACCESS in Taiz, explained that about (2180) displaced and the poorest families have benefited from the project for 3 consecutive months. He stressed that the beneficiary families were selected according to precise criteria and a transparent mechanism, mainly for families suffering from acute food insecurity, and according to assessments carried out by the project through community committees and with direct coordination and supervision by the local authority.
Al-Amiri praised the humanitarian efforts made by the Japanese friends in continuing to provide relief to the affected families in Taiz Governorate, particularly the Japanese Humanitarian Forum and the Japanese ICAN organization, whose humanitarian efforts resulted in alleviating the suffering of the beneficiary families and supporting them in overcoming the difficulties they face in providing the basic living requirements.
