The safe space for women and girls in Al-Jufaina area in Marib Governorate celebrated the graduation of 32 female beneficiaries from two vocational training courses in sewing and hairdressing, as part of the protection and livelihood support project managed by HUMAN ACCESS and funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to build the capacities of vulnerable groups.
The ceremony involved a presentation of the graduates’ products, confirming their acquisition of skills that qualify them for production, competition and creativity in the labor market.
During the ceremony process, Ghamdan Al-Qadi, UNFPA Marib coordinator of the gender-based violence sub-cluster, congratulated the graduates on this achievement as a first step towards investing in stronger ways to earn a living, self-reliance, and recover from the conflict effects.
Additionally, Ghamdan urged female graduates to be persevering, patient, diligent, and not to despair in order to rebuild their lives, break the cycle of poverty, and achieve the highest levels of success.
