Within the framework of the project to provide livelihood services for the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS continues to implement activities aimed at improving the status of women, promoting their rights, and expanding access to comprehensive social protection.
In Ataq, Shabwa Governorate, a community awareness session was conducted for 56 women on gender-based violence. The goal of the session was to raise awareness about this phenomenon, which represents one of the most widespread and devastating human rights violations.
The session included defining violence and its various forms, and emphasizing the importance of concerted efforts to end this scourge for the sake of stable and prosperous societies.
In Al-Rawda area and Al-Mil camps for internally displaced persons in Marib Governorate, a training course in confectionery and pastry making concluded for nine women trainees. They acquired skills in this income-generating profession, preparing them to enter the labor market and earn a living. This aims to enhance self-reliance, contributing to economic recovery and social stability in the country.
