Delivery of 23 economic empowerment toolkits within protection and livelihood support project
HUMAN ACCESS in Al-Mahra Governorate delivered 23 economic empowerment toolkits to beneficiaries of vocational rehabilitation programs in the fields of sewing and pastry-making within the protection and livelihood support project “Safe Space for Women and Girls” funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
This was concluded in the presence of the secretary-general of the local council of the governorate, Salem Namir, the director general of the Social Affairs and Labor office, Fayez Balhaf, and the deputy director general of the Education, Issa Al-Qumairi.
In his speech, Namir praised the efforts of HUMAN ACCESS and the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the field of economic empowerment.
He stated that economic empowerment projects are among the successful projects that target vulnerable groups to prevent them from slipping into poverty and unemployment, noting that civil society organizations are synonymous with the local authority.
For his part, Balhaf thanked HUMAN ACCESS and UNFPA and praised the success of such meaningful and important projects, wishing they will continue to present and implement them in the future.
