The Protection and Livelihoods Support Project for Women and Girls in Wadi Hadhramaut, with implementation by HUMAN ACCESS in partnership with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), organized community awareness sessions on gender-based violence (GBV).

Targeting 38 women and girls in Seiyun district, the sessions dealt with GBV causes, types, manifestations, and effects on women and girls, family members and society as a whole, and ways to limit it.

The project also organized mobilization and advocacy sessions on girls' right to education as part of the "Back to School Campaign", which targeted 26 participants. The discussions dealt with a number of topics related to the process of raising awareness of the importance of girls' education and their role in society, and the implications of depriving girls of education in the short and long term.
