Among safe space activities.. a charity bazaar, awareness, and vocational program closure
Within the Protection and Livelihood Support Project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS organized various activities in Marib Governorate.
This project supports women in Yemen in achieving themselves and their dreams by empowering them economically, especially those affected by the humanitarian crisis.
The safe space in Al-Rawda area and Al-Mil camps concluded the vocational training and economic empowerment program for the first quarter of this year, which targeted 13 beneficiaries, including those with special needs. As a result of the difficult living conditions, the objective is to teach them sewing skills that will allow them to earn a living and support their families.
The safe spaces in Al-Rawda and Al-Mil camps also held a charity bazaar in Al-Suweida camp, which featured the products of beneficiaries of rehabilitation and economic empowerment programs.
Because of the rising prices on the local markets, the bazaar contained two corners featuring sweets/pastries and clothes designed to help lower-income families cover the Eid clothing for their children.
As part of its community outreach, the safe space introduced 10 women to the services it provides in Al-Jufaina by inviting them to the space.
By building their capacity, women and girls will be able to overcome the harsh conditions caused by the ongoing conflict, as well as achieve their human rights, as advancement of women contributes to the advancement of society as a whole.
