Voluntary repatriation is one of the durable solutions for refugees wishing to return to their country of origin or place of habitual residence.

Donors and humanitarian organizations provide assistance related to voluntary return to ensure the safe, dignified and easy return of these refugees and migrants who are stranded in a number of countries of the world, including Yemen.

In collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and as part of its humanitarian aid program, HUMAN ACCESS provided humanitarian assistance to 632 refugees in Yemen returning home voluntarily, including women and children.

During September to December 2022, HUMAN ACCESS provided medical examination services to those prospective travel applicants to determine if they were healthy enough to bear travel burdens.

Among the support services offered were medical advisory services and referrals to advanced treatment centers, especially for those with chronic or complex health problems, and provision of the necessary medicines for a period not less than three months, so that they are prepared for voluntary, lifesaving humanitarian return trips, to reunite with their families and friends, and to start their new lives.
