Thousands of displaced people benefit from winter clothing project in Marib governorate
The needs of the displaced in Yemen are increasing due to the continuing economic crises and wars in the country. The harsh conditions in the winter season get worse for the displaced, the poor and the needy, as most of the displaced live in emergency camps that suffer from extreme poverty and lack the minimum necessary humanitarian needs.
In order to contribute to alleviating the harshness of winter for the displaced families, HUMAN ACCESS implemented a winter clothing project in the camps for displaced people in Alsuwayda, Al-Mil, Al-Khair, and the Community College in Marib Governorate.
The project included the distribution of winter clothes such as winter blankets, wool suits for children, men's jackets, and wool sweaters for women to protect them from the bitter cold of winter during the period from November 2020 to January 2021.
The project contributed to alleviating the suffering of the displaced in the camps by providing clothes and winter blankets, and reducing the spread of diseases caused by the bitter cold.
