Teaching and training them is the best gift.. The first summer camp for children in Mukalla
In an atmosphere full of joy and happiness and decorated with the innocence of childhood, HUMAN ACCESS in Mukalla organized the first summer camp for children with the participation of 30 orphans in the city of Mukalla during the period from June 13 to July 11, 2021, as part of the safe and child-friendly space activities of the Protection and Livelihood Support Project.
The summer camp aims to enhance and develop children's intellectual and creative abilities. The camp consisted of various programs and activities, including: educational, recreational, and developmental programs represented by an exploratory trip to the Mukalla Museum and the educational robot program.
The children participating in the camp learned how to move the robot device and how to program it by computer, and the steps of making the first model of the educational robot (forming the structure of the robot and the way to connect parts and components), in addition to cognitive and exploratory game programs. The camp also included reading programs and family counseling for mothers of orphans participating in the camp.
The participating children praised the activities of the camp and indicated that they have benefited from the camp's programs and that the camp brought them joy and happiness in spending enjoyable and useful times and presented to them new values and culture.
