In Taiz Governorate, HUMAN ACCESS handed over a project to extend a sewage line in Shi'b Al-Haddadin area of Al-Muzaffar district to the local water and sanitation corporation.
As soon as this project was completed, Zaid Sultan, director of projects in the corporation, and Muhammad Al-Kadahi, director of the district, were present to ensure that environmental and health risks were eliminated as a result of open sewers and a lack of sanitation services.
The project, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), included connecting the Shi’b Al-Haddadin area to the main sewage network to serve 5,405 people as part of the integrated response support to improve basic services for the most vulnerable communities.
During the project delivery, the director general of Al-Muzhaffar district stated that this project was one of the best projects implemented in this region, which suffers from diseases spread by a lack of sanitation services, expressing gratitude to HUMAN ACCESS and YHF for this vital support that meets the needs of the local population.
