HUMAN ACCESS in Al-Mahra Governorate launched a project to support reproductive health services at Saihut General Hospital in Saihut district.
The project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), strives to provide multiple support to the hospital’s emergency obstetrics department, which includes the distribution of medicines and medical supplies and the training of health and other personnel in order to improve access to reproductive health services.
A key member of the inauguration ceremony, the Director General of Saihut district, Sheikh Muhammad Ahmed Al-Zuwaidi, praised HUMAN ACCESS and UNFPA for their efforts to restore access to reproductive health services. It was stressed that it was crucial to launch the project at Saihut Hospital so that life-saving services could be provided to the district's growing population.
The Saihut Hospital is the second hospital in Al-Mahra that receives reproductive health services from the project, after Al-Ghaydah Central Hospital that has been doing so for years.
It is worth noting that reproductive healthcare services play a pivotal role in human safety and make a positive impact on the lives of families and communities in general and stand out as one of the most severe humanitarian needs in Yemen.
