Woman and Child Sector of HUMAN ACCESS conducted a public awareness session about measles vaccination in Marib Governorate with 50 women in attendance, in order to increase awareness among mothers of the importance of immunizations and to encourage them to vaccinate their children.
This campaign is part of a national campaign to immunize children against measles and rubella that will run until next Thursday.
As part of the awareness session, participants were informed about measles, its risks, the groups most at risk, and why vaccinations are crucial to preventing the spread of this disease.
As Yemen is mired in conflict, there is an increase in measles and rubella cases among children, especially in light of the exhausted health system in the country.
