Plenary meeting in Seiyun for representatives of local and international NGOs in presence of UN Deputy Humanitarian Coordinator
HUMAN ACCESS convened a plenary meeting in Sieyun for the representatives of local and international organizations operating in Yemen, in the presence of Mr. Diego Zorrilla, Deputy Humanitarian Coordinator (DHC) for Yemen.
The meeting discussed the humanitarian response plan and how to address the imbalances in the rapid response mechanism for IDPs. At the meeting, Mr. Diego Zorrilla noted with great interest the representatives’ remarks, programs, objectives, and aspirations, expressing his willingness to ensure all necessary facilitations for the acting organizations and the removal of all obstacles lying ahead of them.
On the other hand, Mr. Diego Zorrilla paid a visit to Tarim Public Hospital to observe closely the services provided under the Reproductive Health Services Project, carried out by HUMAN ACCESS in Sieyun and funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
Mr. Zorrilla was introduced to the services delivered in the obstetric emergency rooms as well as the offered reproductive health services. Further, the Hospital’s critical needs for obstetric emergency rooms were discussed. In the end, Mr. Zorrilla valued the humanitarian efforts exerted by HUMAN ACCESS across Yemen, particularly the health services.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Maria Desigo, Head of WFP Office in Mukalla, Dr. Salem Ba Obiedoon, Director of Health Office in Tarim district, Mohammad Al-Haddad, Director of Tarim Public Hospital, Niyazi bin Abdulaziz, Director of OCHA Office in Hadhramaut, Munir Abed Hood, Executive Director of HUMAN ACCESS in Wadi Hadhramaut, and Dr. Mahmoud Salem Ba Jubair, Coordinator of the Reproductive Health Services Project.
