Ali Abdulelah, director of the protection and livelihoods programs at United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Aden office, commended the efforts of the Protection and Livelihoods Project team in Seiyun (safe spaces for women and girls). This came during the inspection and evaluation visit made by the director of the protection programs last Wednesday.

The UNFPA officer was received by Munir Saleh Abed Hood, the executive director of HUMAN ACCESS in Wadi Hadramout branch, and Sundus Al-Saeedi, the project coordinator. During the visit, the UNFPA gender-based violence program officer was briefed on the progress of work in the space with its various sections and the impact of the services provided on the lives of women and girls.

The talks between the two sides dealt with the progress of the training and rehabilitation programs implemented by the safe space, where Abdulelah expressed his appreciation and admiration for the services offered by the project team.

On the other hand, the director of protection programs, along with Munir Saleh Abed Hood, executive director of HUMAN ACCESS in Wadi Hadramout branch, visited the director general of the Social Affairs and Labor office in the Wadi and Sahara, Dr. Abdullah Bajham.

Dr. Bajham was briefed on the services provided by the project and praised the humanitarian efforts carried out by HUMAN ACCESS in supporting women and girls in economic empowerment programs, rehabilitation, training, capacity building and providing safe spaces for women and girls.

Bajham expressed the office's readiness to provide all facilities and overcome obstacles to enable the project to perform its various tasks and activities as required, and thanked UNFPA for its support of the project. The visit contributed to embodying the relationship and discussing ways to enhance joint cooperation.
