HUMAN ACCESS carried out an open day for women, girls, and children in Kharaz refugee camp in Lahj Governorate as part of the activities of the 16 Days of Activism Campaign to Combat Violence against Women and Girls, under the umbrella of the integrated project, funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
A major objective of the open day is to raise awareness about gender-based violence, which is still widespread, as a global phenomenon that is not limited to borders, socioeconomic status, or age groups, and to emphasize the need to eliminate every form of violence against women and girls by addressing this scourge.
