With funding from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), HUMAN ACCESS delivered a solid waste truck to the Marib Hygiene and Improvement Fund as part of its sustainability projects to improve the cleanliness of IDP camps in Yemen.
The delivery took place in the presence of the Deputy Governor of Marib, Ali Al-Fatimi; the Director of the UNHCR Office in the Governorate, Shekel Kim Shehu; the Executive Director of the Hygiene and Improvement Fund, Engineer Mohammed Atiyyah; and the representative of the Executive Unit for IDP Camp Management, Mohammed Al-Saeedi.
The goal of this important support is to enhance the Hygiene Fund's capacity to transport waste, create a clean environment, and help mitigate the spread of diseases and epidemics related to public hygiene.
It also supports local capacities for safe and healthy waste management, improving the lives and safety of vulnerable populations amid one of the worst protracted humanitarian crises in the world.
