Launch of two healthcare departments and malnutrition treatment among children in Marib
With generous funding from the Malaysian Mercy Association, HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate launched two departments in Marib General Hospital, one for primary healthcare, and the second to treat cases of severe acute malnutrition in children.
This event took place in the presence of the vice president of the Hospital Authority for Technical Affairs, Dr. Wajdi Al-Mikhlafi, and the director-general of the Public Health and Population office in the governorate, Dr. Ahmed Al-Abadi.
Al-Mikhlafi and Al-Abadi toured the two departments and observed free healthcare and malnutrition treatment, as well as the level of preparation, organization, and performance of the medical and health staff in both departments.
In their remarks, Al-Mikhlafi and Al-Abadi thanked HUMAN ACCESS and the Mercy Association for their important humanitarian work to expand primary health services and combat the increasing malnutrition in the governorate with the help of the Ma'rib General Hospital, a reference hospital for medical services at the governorate level.
With Mercy Association's support, HUMAN ACCESS will cover the financial cost of healthcare and address malnutrition in the two departments.
