With funding from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), HUMAN ACCESS inaugurated the Al-Jawfa Health Unit in Al-Rayyan sub-district of Khab Walsha'f district in Al-Jawf Governorate, in the presence of the Director General of the Public Health and Population Office in the Governorate, Dr. Ahmed Juzailan, and the Director of the Health Office in the district, Mohsen Dakhnan.
Under the Integrated and Sustainable Assistance Project, this initiative addresses the needs in highly dangerous and deprived areas.
Among the components of the project are setting up and operating Al-Jawfa Health Unit, as well as providing basic healthcare services and increasing survival rates through the use of a mobile medical clinic in a number of targeted areas.
During the opening, Dr. Juzailan stressed the importance of these humanitarian projects, especially in these areas deprived of basic services, to provide a minimum package of healthcare services and meet the needs of the most vulnerable groups.
As a side event to the inauguration, a training course in water, environmental sanitation, and health was held for men and women volunteers.
