Under the theme “Learn, Rise, Inspire,” HUMAN ACCESS organized the Annual Humanitarian Volunteers Forum in Taiz Governorate, marking the International Volunteer Day, observed on 5 December each year, in recognition of the vital role volunteers play in supporting their communities and strengthening humanitarian action.
The forum brought together 50 volunteers and featured a training program on project design and field assessments, in addition to a workshop highlighting the importance of volunteerism for individuals and communities. The discussions also addressed key challenges faced by volunteers in the field and explored practical approaches to overcoming them and enhancing their contribution to humanitarian efforts.
HUMAN ACCESS manages a wide and active network of volunteers across Yemen and continues to commemorate International Volunteer Day each year as part of its commitment to building local capacities and reinforcing the principle that the most effective and sustainable solutions are those driven by people within their own communities.
