HUMAN ACCESS association carried out an emergency intervention in Al-Nour camp for displaced people in Al-Wadi District, Marib Governorate, diverting floodwaters and opening a safe corridor for them. This intervention followed the extensive damage caused by floods over the past two days.

The floodwaters damaged a number of displaced people's homes and caused the collapse of some wells, exacerbating the suffering of camp residents.

This intervention is part of HUMAN ACCESS' urgent response, aimed at mitigating risks and protecting lives and property.

As a proactive step to mitigate future risks, the association’s teams are currently installing protective barriers in several camps to mitigate the effects of potential floods. This is part of an integrated emergency plan that reflects the association’s commitment to providing support to the most vulnerable groups and meeting their basic needs amid the exceptional circumstances they face.
