HUMAN ACCESS provided health support to 151 refugees who voluntarily returned from Yemen to their country, Somalia, while they were in Aden governorate preparing for the return trip on a boat to their country.
This important health support is part of the integrated project and within the voluntary return program funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to support refugees stranded in Yemen.
To ensure the health and safety of voluntarily returning refugees, the support included conducting necessary medical examinations for them so that they could assess their health status and ability to travel by sea for long periods of time, as well as providing them with medications for certain medical conditions and health guidance in order to ensure their safe return home.
