Under the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls," HUMAN ACCESS implemented a number of activities in Marib Governorate, supported by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in order to empower Yemeni women economically. The organization believes that women should be given the opportunity to realize themselves and achieve their dreams, especially those who have been affected by the humanitarian crisis.

In this context, the safe space in Al-Rawda area and Al-Mil camps concluded the vocational training and economic empowerment program for the first quarter of this year, targeting 13 trainees in the field of sweets and pastries. As a result of the constant conflict, beneficiaries were given skills in this profession that could enable them to earn a living, as well as prevent them from falling into poverty or unemployment.

In Al-Jufaina area, the safe space for women and girls, in the presence of Ghamdan Al-Qadi, coordinator of the gender-based violence Sub-cluster of UNFPA in Marib, concluded two training courses, the first in the field of sewing and tailoring, targeting 14 women, while the second training also targeted 14 women in the field of sweets and pastries.

In the same area, Ghamdan opened an exhibition of women's clothing products organized by the safe space to display the products of the vocational training beneficiaries in the field of sewing and improve their income.

The exhibition included clothes for women, girls and children, in conjunction with the approaching Eid al-Fitr and families’ need for clothes at competitive prices that take into account their purchasing power.
