The safe space for women and girls in Al-Wadi district of Marib Governorate completed during the past days the process of examining and selecting livestock in preparation for handing them over to trainees in livestock breeding as part of the Protection and Livelihood Support Project, run by HUMAN ACCESS, with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
To this end, a total of 24 sheep of good local breeds that are reproducible, resistant to diseases, and suitable for the climatic conditions of the region were examined and selected, their ages were verified, and they were disease-free.
Additionally, the sheep were subjected to veterinary quarantine to ensure that the program achieves its goals of bringing income back to productive families seeking to improve their livelihoods through livestock production.
