HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwa Governorate, with funding from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), delivered economic empowerment grants that included sewing machines and cooking equipment. A number of 30 women and girls were targeted as beneficiaries of the Protection and Livelihood Support Project in Ataq district, who have received vocational training in the fields of sewing, pastry-making and culinary arts.
The grants contributed to empowering these families economically by creating job opportunities that would generate new income for them.
