As part of the protection and livelihood support project “Safe Space for Women and Girls” funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate distributed 10 economic empowerment grants in Al-Matar area in the fields of sewing, tailoring, and making sweets and pastries.
Providing women beneficiaries with a stable developmental source of income and helping eradicate poverty is the goal of the program.
In their reaction to receiving the grants, the beneficiaries expressed great happiness and thanked HUMAN ACCESS and UNFPA for qualifying them, enabling them to acquire vocational skills, and providing them with the prerequisites necessary for their professions.
In the midst of escalating poverty and unemployment as a result of the armed conflict in Yemen, it is critical that they are able to engage in the labor market, cope with life's burdens, and provide a suitable source of income to support their families.
