HUMAN ACCESS in Al-Mahra Governorate distributed 14 economic empowerment bags in the fields of sewing and pastry-making, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the governorate, Salem Abdullah Naimar.
This came within the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", implemented by HUMAN ACCESS in Al-Mahra Governorate and funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
At the distribution ceremony, the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Al-Mahra praised the efforts of HUMAN ACCESS and its role in empowering women and girls economically and supporting the targeted families to obtain job opportunities that help them improve their living situation.
For his part, Salem Swailem, Deputy Director-General of the Social Affairs and Labor office in Al-Mahra, stressed the importance of rehabilitating and supporting women to help families meet their needs under difficult living conditions, thanking HUMAN ACCESS and UNFPA for this project.
It is noteworthy that HUMAN ACCESS in Al-Mahra is implementing a protection and livelihood support project over a period of 3 years, funded by UNFPA.
The project focuses on rehabilitating, supporting and empowering women and girls in various fields.
