HUMAN ACCESS in the governorates of Hadhramaut and Marib carried out a wide range of activities within the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", which is funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to support women's right to work and improve their ability to live independently and build a prosperous life.

In the city of Seiyun in Wadi Hadhramaut, the safe space organized a community awareness session for a number of women and girls about raising children in the technology era.

The session presented important tips related to the appropriate ways to raise children and keep them safe in a world of increasing risks and uncertainty.

In Marib, the safe space in Al-Matar area concluded a training program in life, marketing and financial skills for 24 beneficiaries of vocational rehabilitation courses in sewing and hairdressing to develop their skills and motivate them to engage into the labor market and improve their economic situation in a sustainable manner.

The space had concluded a sewing and tailoring training along with a charity bazaar for the benefit of orphans and the poorest families, as they were given some clothes from the products of the vocational training graduates as a gift before Eid al-Adha to bring joy and happiness to them on this great religious occasion.

Additionally, the safe space in Al-Matar offered group psychological support based on parental roles and proper methods of raising children, as well as enhancing girls' confidence and showing them tenderness.

The space continues to offer services in the children's space by creating a child-centered environment and supporting the exercise of their rights to play, among others.

The safe space in Al-Mujamma area completed handicraft and embroidery training courses for 14 beneficiaries.

Further, and in order to ensure their success and make them productive and self-reliant, the safe space in Wadi Marib conducted a field visit to confirm the eligibility of female applicants for economic empowerment grants.
