HUMAN ACCESS in Wadi Hadhramaut organized community dialogues with social leaders in Seiyun city, within the “Youth Friendly Space” project to combat female genital mutilations (FGM), funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
Throughout these dialogues and discussions, the goal is to raise public awareness about the negative effects of female genital mutilation.
In the community dialogues, the phenomenon of sexual mutilation of girls was discussed as one of the most harmful practices against females, affecting the health of women and girls in long-term physical, psychological, and social ways.
Efforts must be made urgently to stop FGM and end its suffering.
