HUMAN ACCESS in Wadi Hadhramaut conducted a community, health and religious impact event resulting from the wrong practices of female genital mutilation (FGM), within the context of the FGM “Youth friendly space” project funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The event held in Seiyun city addressed several topics aimed at educating community leaders about the issue of FGM.
The topics discussed the physical, psychological, and social damage and complications of this phenomenon, which is rooted in some social norms and has nothing to do with religion, and the importance of working together to end FGM.
