With the support of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS implemented a number of activities within the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls" to empower women and girls to stand up for their rights and find the support they need to reach their full potential in Marib Governorate.
In this context, it organized a group outreach targeting 23 students from Safiyyah School in Al-Jufaina to introduce the project, the funder and the implementer, the resumption of safe space activities for women and girls for this year, and the services it provides in order to encourage women in Yemen to achieve the positive change they wish to see.
The project also organized community awareness, entitled "Women's Role in Society", in the presence of 13 women visiting the safe space, which focused on women's pivotal role in the development and prosperity of societies and the need to rehabilitate and build their capabilities to play their role to the fullest.
The community awareness also dealt with the efforts and work of the safe space in developing and supporting women and girls.
As for the safe space in Al Jufainah, a working group meeting was held, during which the work over the past year was evaluated to avoid shortcomings, build on strengths, and discuss how to renew and develop performance in a way that that helps safeguard women and girls and well-being, and works to improve women's status and to advance their rights for the benefit of the community as a whole.
