With funding from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and as part of the protection and livelihood support project activities "Safe Space for Women and Girls", HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate held an open day for women and girls in Al-Mujamma area.
There were a number of activities at the open day, including competitions, prizes, psychological support, and the display of products produced by economic empowerment program beneficiaries.
The event sought to highlight violence against women, raise awareness about the scale of problems women and girls face, especially those affected by humanitarian crises, and draw attention to this issue.
Relatedly, the safe space in Al-Jufaina camp held a seminar on human rights on December 10 in conjunction with the 16-day campaign to combat gender-based violence.
The seminar targeted 25 women to introduce the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and raise awareness of the importance of women obtaining their rights.
