
HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate implemented a number of important and targeted activities as part of the project to provide livelihood services for the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). This project aims to address the growing threats to women's advancement and build more resilient and stable societies.
In Al-Rawdah area and Al-Mil IDP camps, livelihood grants were awarded to six women who benefited from vocational training in sewing, tailoring, and confectionery and pastry making. Cash assistance was provided to 10 women, and five women were issued identity cards. A focus group discussion was also held to analyze the market and other activities to support the rights and well-being of women and girls.
In Al-Jufaina camp for IDPs, livelihood grants were given to six women who benefited from vocational training in sewing and hairdressing. Dozens of women were referred to partners to receive psychosocial and health support services. Eight group psychosocial support sessions and 10 legal awareness sessions were also conducted on issues of concern to women. Dignity kits were distributed to 94 women, girls, widows, and the elderly, among other activities.
