As part of the project to provide livelihood services to the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS implemented a number of targeted activities in Hays District, Hodeidah Governorate. These activities are part of ongoing efforts to ensure the fundamental rights of Yemeni women and build more stable and peaceful communities.

Community awareness sessions were conducted, targeting 494 women and addressing several important issues, including physical and domestic violence, online violence, women's rights under the law, breastfeeding, the importance of education, the dangers of early marriage, and other topics aimed at raising awareness among women and girls about gender-based violence, enhancing their knowledge of their rights, and raising awareness of harmful social practices.

Ten group psychosocial support sessions were also conducted, targeting 158 women who visit the safe space for women and girls. These sessions addressed several important issues, including building self-confidence and self-esteem, managing daily stress and tension, and strengthening coping mechanisms to deal with psychological stress and the aftermath of trauma.

An assessment process was also carried out for 20 women who applied to the vocational training program in sewing and tailoring. This involved reviewing registration applications, conducting interviews, and verifying eligibility criteria to select the most needy beneficiaries. This process enhances transparency, fairness, and project implementation efficiency, ensuring the desired impact.

Furthermore, the child's space launched a variety of educational, recreational, artistic, physical, and mental health support activities for 263 children. These activities designed to develop children's cognitive, creative, and motor skills, and to promote their positive interaction in a safe and supportive environment.

Simplified awareness messages on personal hygiene, handwashing, bullying, and other age-appropriate topics were integrated into the activities.
