Within the context of the FGM project funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS in Al-Mahra Governorate conducted two activities in Al-Ghaydah city to raise public awareness of the dangers associated with female genital mutilation and to ensure that these practices are criminalized to maintain girls' health.
In this regard, a periodic meeting of children's ambassadors of honor was held in the presence of HUMAN ACCESS leaders in the governorate to discuss the mechanism of visits to the targeted homes and the gifts provided by the project management.
A public campaign and a community dialogue session were also held, along with a workshop and a display of educational videos, stressing the dangers of female genital mutilation as harmful practices that violate girls and women's fundamental human rights.
